ALLOW ME TO CLARIFY: I met the superwonderful Cristina from Shoe Tease at God Save the Queen (see previous post) and she decided to use me as a example of a Toronto culture blogger on the loose in her “Effortless Blogger Style”-themed Stylesights post in October. Just want to send out many thanks to Cristina & Shoe Tease for the linkdrop!!!

Next on the docket: The Sketchbook Project. I recently signed on to take part in a sketchbook tour. I’ll be completing my book, mailing it in January and tracking it until summer ‘11 (follow the link above for dates/locations). I’m taking a theme and interpreting as such: I have a TERRIBLE time remembering people’s names. Faces? GREAT! Names? Nada … SO! As a solution to this crippling life-issue I have decided to write down the names of people I meet and people I know and then create detailed typographic drawings, customized to their character/look/behaviors. SO! If you’d like a fancy customized hand-drawing of your name (and for it to tour the states in a bookshow) let me know sometime in the next two months and I’ll write you down!!! Yayayaya!! I’d like to do one a day so keep ‘em comin’!!!!

That’s it that’s all folks! It was defo a draining and strange but electrifying experience. I ran on 2-4 hours of sleep for almost two weeks and (literally) ran like a madman from work to premiere to party for most of those days. I ran into people I didn’t expect to see (”OH HAI Ralph!”), lost contact with those I expected/wanted to see and bonded with new friends over conversations about sweater puppies. By the festival’s end I had inspired a CTV article, fallen asleep standing up and pissed off Ellen Paige soooo I consider it time well spent.

Summer 2010, you were too fucking good to me—farewell, adieu, bonsoir. TACKLING FALL: ROUND 23. This particular run has got me hazy as fuck; I’ve gained and lost some unthinkably rad things and I’m really not sure whether to be ecstatic or miserable.
